Carers Trust Cambridgeshire  is a charity which supports family carers and the disabled or ill children, adults and elderly frail people they care for in Cambridgeshire.  We also support people in Peterborough and Norfolk via Carers Trust Peterborough and Carers Trust Norfolk.

 

For every £1 raised through donations 98p is spent directly on charitable activities.

 

All funds raised through this auction will be used exclusively for charitable activities for family carers.

The Carers Trust Cambridgeshire 30th Anniversary Auction will start at

9am (GMT) on Friday 6th November 2015 and bidding will close from 6pm on Sunday 29th November 2015.

 

On all lots bidding will close in 60 second intervals. If a bid is made on a lot within 10 minutes of the lot closing, the bidding on that particular lot will remain open for another 10 minutes.  If no further bids are received after 10 minutes, the lot will close.  However, if further bids are received on that lot, then it will remain open, in 10 minute intervals, until no further bids are received.

The following terms and conditions, together with such other terms, conditions and notices that may be included in any relevant Catalogue or separate notice to Buyers, set out the terms on which we offers lots for sale and which apply to sellers, bidders and buyers.

 

Remember that from time to time we may make changes to our services and systems, if this happens we’ll update these terms and conditions so do make sure to check them regularly.

 

TRADING NAMES

CARERS TRUST CAMBRIDGESHIRE, CARERS TRUST PETERBOROUGH and CARERS TRUST NORFOLK are the trading names of West Anglia Crossroads Caring for Carers, 4 The Meadow, Meadow Lane, St Ives, PE27 4LG.  Registered in England & Wales Number 4379948.  Registered Charity Number 1091522.

 

DEFINITIONS

In these Terms and Conditions of Sale, the following words will have the following meanings:

a) “The Agents” means Carers Trust Cambridgeshire (“Carers Trust Cambridgeshire”) or any Employee thereof at the time of Sale.

b) “The Auctioneers” means the person conducting the auction, Carers Trust Cambridgeshire or any Employee thereof at the time of Sale.

c) “The Buyer” shall have the meaning ascribed to it in condition 4 below and Buyers shall be deemed to be principals (for the purpose of these conditions) unless to the knowledge of the Agents and Auctioneers they are acting as agents on behalf of a named principal.

d) “The Vendor” means the person owning or having the right to sell the lot.

e) “The hammer” refers to the highest bid accepted by the Auctioneers.

 

PRIVACY POLICY

Carers Trust Cambridgeshire values your privacy and the information set out below explains what data we collect, why we collect it and how we use your details. Please remember you can access our website homepage and browse our site without disclosing any personal data.

When you register in person or on our website all information will be securely stored. We will use the information you provide to us:

- To administer your account and we may disclose your details to our third party service providers for the purposes of processing your order.

- To let you know via email, post or phone about Carers Trust Cambridgeshire products and services which may be of interest to you.

We will not pass your information to other carefully selected third parties who may use it to tell you about other goods and services which they think you may be interested in. BIDDING

Bids in the Carers Trust Cambridgeshire (herein known as CTC) 30th Anniversary Online Auction can only be received through the online bidding service via www.the-saleroom.com.  Those wishing to bid for any of these lots must first register on the-saleroom.com or i-bidder.com websites and then register for the CTC 30th Anniversary Online Auction.  Details of all lots, help with ‘How to Bid’ together with Terms and Conditions for the timed online auction will be available at www.the-saleroom.com.

 

As part of the registration process you will be required to enter your debit/credit card details to confirm your identity and eligibility to bid in our auction.  www.the-saleroom.com and www.i-bidder.com retain this information securely and it is not held by Carers Trust Cambridgeshire.  For this reason, if you are the winning bidder of a Lot you will be required to give your card details to Carers Trust Cambridgeshire if you wish to pay by this method.

 

AUCTION DURATION

The CTC 30th Anniversary Auction will start at

In completing the bidder registration on www.the-saleroom.com and providing your credit/debit card details, you:

 

BUYING FROM US

All offers and bids made shall be treated as offers made upon these Terms and Conditions of Sale, and all persons present at the Auction and offer or acknowledge that their attention has been drawn to these Terms and Conditions of Sale and they are bound by them. Subject to these Terms and Conditions, the highest bidder/offer or shall be the Buyer, subject to the approval of the bid by the vendor.

 

All persons present at an auction sale and or taking part in an on-line auction agree to refrain from conduct which may cause a nuisance to others present.

 

The Buyer shall not become the owner of any lot and the Agents/Auctioneers shall not have any lien thereon, until the lot has been paid for in full, but nevertheless each lot is at the sole risk of the Buyer from the fall of the hammer or upon receiving notification of successful bids and the Buyer shall be responsible for providing appropriate insurance cover from this time.

 

Until the Buyer makes payment in full:-

- Title to any Lot bought shall not pass to the Buyer.

- The lot shall be at the Buyers risk.

- The Auctioneer shall have a lien over any Lot bought by the Buyer in the Auction.

- If the Buyer effects or purports to effect a resale of any other disposition of all or part of the Lot, the Purchase shall hold proceeds of resale or other disposition on trust for the Auctioneer and the Seller.

 

PAYMENT INFORMATION

Upon the Auctioneer declaring any lot sold, the Buyer shall immediately:

a) Subject to vendor approval being obtained pay the full purchase price.

b) On proof of payment in full, clear any lot expeditiously and at the latest by the date and times specified in the auction catalogue or if no time is specified, 4pm on the Wednesday 2 December 2015.

c) Should payment not be received within the timescales specified in the terms then the Auctioneers reserve the right re-list the lots for sale.

d) Any items of alcohol, including hampers, MUST be paid for on Tuesday 1 December 2015.

 

All payments are to be made in Sterling.

 

We accept the following payment methods:-

- Cash up to an amount of £250.00.

- Cheque but goods will not transfer ownership or be available for collection or despatched until the cheque has cleared.

- Debit and credit cards – please telephone 01480 499093 with your card details.  Credit cards incur a 2% surcharge.

- Bank transfer.  Please telephone 01480 499093 for our Bank account details.

 

All charges must be paid and cleared through the bank before any items will be released.  Successful bidders will be notified by email.

 

SHIPPING & COLLECTON

The purchaser of any lot agrees to pay all costs relating to packing and postage of their lots.  Lots specify where they may be collected from if it is not one of our offices.

 

All lots will be packed and dispatched, or be ready for collection from their stated location, within 14 days of payment being received.

 

Collection is to be completed within one week after the date of purchase, and only once payment has been received.

 

AGENTS/AUCTIONEERS RIGHTS REF DAMAGE

In the case of a Buyer causing damage not covered, the Agents/Auctioneers shall be entitled to exercise a lien in respect of any and all lots purchased by the Buyer until such damage or loss has been paid for in full, whether or not the lots or any of them have been paid for in full, such loss and damage to be assessed by the Agents/Auctioneers whose decision shall be final. The Agents/Auctioneers’ assessed sum shall be paid by the Buyer upon receipt of invoice and payment shall be made forthwith, time being of the essence.

 

VENDORS RIGHTS

Lots offered for sale are subject to the following:

a) Any reserve price placed by the Vendor. Reserves must be reasonable and Carers Trust Cambridgeshire may decline to offer goods which in Carers Trust Cambridgeshire opinion would be subject to an unreasonably high reserve (in which case those goods carry the storage and insurance charges stipulated in the terms of consignment).

b) The right of the Auctioneers to bid on behalf of the Vendor.

c) When a reserve price has been placed (but in no other case) for the Vendor to bid personally or through any agent.

d) Once set the reserve cannot be changed without Carers Trust Cambridgeshire consent.
