Hunt engraved and gold-decorated 12-bore self-opening sidelock ejector guns by James Purdey & Sons, no. 29221/2 Toplevers, ribs and forends numbered '1' & '2' in gold, the action-bodies, furniture, trigger-guards and forend irons profusely gold damascened with foliage, each lockplate with gold-encrusted woodcock with engraved typical scenery and signed 'K. C. Hunt', the undersides engraved en suite, full hardening-colour, maker's name gold inlaid in gothic script, gold-inlaid cocking-indicators, articulated front-triggers, rolled-edge trigger-guards each with gold-encrusted dogs, the first a pointer, the second a spaniel retrieving a woodcock, the well-figured stocks with heel- and toe-plates each gold damascened with foliage, the chopper-lump barrels stamped 'D.S.' with some gold-damascening towards the breeches, with game-ribs gold inlaid 'J.
