This unabridged edition was published by the Armed Services with the number identifier M-2 [Hall A3]. The Armed Services, Inc. reprinted it again in 1946, but with the later number identifier 1016. This copy features a great E.B. White signature as well as familial provenance.
E.B. White (American, 1899-1985)
White attended Cornell University before pursuing a career in journalism. He worked for the United Press and theSeattle Times before finding a position with The New Yorker magazine, where he stayed for the rest of his career. In addition to his day job, White took on additional projects, including writing his own successful books for young readers, such as “Stuart Little”, “Charlotte’s Web”, and “The Trumpet of the Swan”. During his lifetime, White was awarded the National Medal for Literature.
