EST 450 The Himalayan snow leopard is listed as endangered on the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species. This magnificent animal has been known to leap as far as 15 meters and can travel up to 40km in a single night. The snow leopard prefers steep terrain, broken by cliffs, rocky outcrops and ravines and they live at high altitudes, usually at elevations of 3000-4500 meters, although they occasionally go above 5500 meters in the Himalayas.
