"Above us only sky" and "Woolton Carnival 1957" by Sylvia Hikins – 80x80cm Oil on Canvas painting accompanied by 19x24cm Limited Edition (1/25) poem, written to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Quarry Men playing at Woolton Carnival. Sylvia is an established poet, writer and novelist. She has 9 books of poetry published. Her novel "See Out the Crazy Times" was published in June and is available from News from Nowhere. In the past four years Sylvia has had solo art exhibitions at The Chester Grosvenor Museum, The Williamson Art Gallery in Birkenhead, The Nordic Church in Liverpool and the Gallery Ofeigur in Reykjavik, Iceland.
