Ansonsten in exzellenter, farbfrischer Erhaltung. </p><p>Dazu großformatiges Portraitfoto (23 x 16,5) Schuldts in Uniform als SS-Standartenführer mit angelegtem Ritterkreuz zum Eisernen Kreuz 1939. </p><p>Heinrich Schuldt (1901 - 15.3.1944) trat 1933 als Leutnant der Reichsmarine der SS-Leibstandarte bei und wurde Führer der 3. Kompanie. 1938 übernahm er in München das I. Bat./SS-Standarte "Deutschland" und zu Kriegsbeginn ein Regiment der 4. SS-Totenkopfstandarte "Ostmark". Als SS-Obersturmbannführer und Kommandeur des SS-Totenkopf-Infanterie-Regiments 4 erhielt Schuldt am 5. April 1942 das Ritterkreuz zum Eisernen Kreuz für die erfolgreichen Kämpfe seines Regiments in der Heeresgruppe Mitte bei Juchnow, an der Mittleren Ugra und um Kolodosi 1941/42. Sein Regiment erhielt als Auszeichnung den Beinamen "Langemarck". Von Dezember 1942 bis März 1943 kommandierte er die Kampfgruppe "Schuldt" in schwersten Kämpfen an der Don-Front und erhielt dafür am 2. April 1943 das 220. Eichenlaub zum Ritterkreuz. Als Kommandeur der 2. lettischen SS-Freiwilligen-Brigade zeichnete sich Schuldt bei den Kämpfen an den Wolchow-Brückenköpfen und den anschließenden Rückzugsgefechten erneut aus. So ließ sich der SS-Oberführer im Januar 1944 mit seiner Brigade von den Russen einkesseln, um das Absetzen der übrigen deutschen Truppen zu ermöglichen, und erreichte dennoch nach schweren Rückzugskämpfen wieder die eigenen Linien. Am 15. März 1944, einen Tag nach seiner Beförderung zum SS-Brigadeführer, fiel Schuldt durch einen Pakvolltreffer bei Ostrow inmitten seiner Grenadiere. Zehn Tage später, am 25. März 1944, wurden ihm posthum die 56. Schwerter zum Ritterkreuz mit Eichenlaub des Eisernen Kreuzes 1939 verliehen. </p><p>Schwerterurkunden mit Kassetten zählen zu den gesuchtesten Raritäten und Verleihungen an Soldaten der Waffen-SS sind dabei besonders begehrt, denn von insgesamt nur 160 verliehenen Exemplaren gingen lediglich 24 an die Waffen-SS. </p><p></p><p> SS Brigadeführer and Generalmajor der Waffen SS Hinrich Schuldt - a cased certificate for the award of the Oak Leaves with Swords to the Knight`s Cross of the Iron Cross 1939. </p><p>The parchment certificate with a calligraphic text in red and gold "...I herewith award SS Oberführer Heinrich Schuldt the oak leaves with swords... In a parchment frame with gold-embossed decoration, the back (slightly stained) with the artist`s signature "Frieda Thiersch" in gold. 43 x 34.5 cm. </p><p>The parchment case with a gold border and applied national eagle surrounded by an openwork frame of silver with matted and partially polished gilding. The lower edge also with the artist`s signature "Frieda Thiersch" in gold. Ivory coloured velvet lining (slightly stained), the strips of parchment at the hinges undamaged. 46 x 37.5 x 4 cm, weight 4.4 kg(!). The certificate and the case both slightly domed, the exterior of the case somewhat darkened. Otherwise in excellent condition and with remarkably fresh colours. </p><p>With a large-size portrait photo (23 x 16.5 cm) of Schuldt in the uniform of an SS Standartenführer wearing the Knight`s Cross of the Iron Cross 1939. </p><p>Hinrich Schuldt (1901 - 15 March 1944) was a navy lieutenant before joining the SS Leibstandarte in 1933, becoming the commander of the 3rd Company. In 1938 he took over the I. Bat./SS Standarte "Deutschland" based in Munich, changing to a regiment of the 4th SS-Totenkopf-Standarte "Ostmark" at the outbreak of the war. Schuldt was SS Obersturmbannführer and Commander of the SS-Totenkopf Infantry Regiment 4 when he received the Knight`s Cross of the Iron Cross on 5th April 1942 for the successful combat operations of his regiment (which subsequently received the byname "Langemarck") in the Heeresgruppe Mitte near Juchnow, at the Middle Ugra, and around Kolodosi in 1941/42. From December 1942 to March 1943 he commanded the combat group "Schuldt" which came under heavy enemy fire at the Don Front. Having engaged in a series of fierce skirmishes to slow down the advancing enemy troops, he received the 220th Oak Leaves to the Knight`s Cross on 2nd April 1943. As Commander of the 2nd Lithuanian SS Volunteer Brigade Schuldt rendered once more valuable service in the fights at the Wolchow bridgeheads and the subsequent rearguard actions. The SS Oberführer and his brigade let Soviets troops encircle them in January 1944, enabling the retreat of the other German troops, ultimately reaching friendly lines after heavy fights. On 15th March 1944, one day after his promotion to SS Brigadeführer, Schuldt was killed by a direct hit of an anti-tank missile near Ostrow, surrounded by his grenadiers. Ten days later, on 25th March 1944, he was awarded posthumously the 56th Swords to the Knight`s Cross with Oak Leaves of the Iron Cross 1939. </p><p>Cased certificates for the bestowal of sword decorations are extremely rare. He was born in Germany and at a young age emigrated to the United States with his family, settling in New Bedford, Massachusetts. Little is known of his early training, but in 1853 he returned to Dusseldorf to study at the Royal Academy. During his studies, he traveled extensively throughout Europe. His painting "Lake Lucerne", one of fourteen he exhibited at New York`s National Academy of Design in 1858, caused a great sensation and brought him much attention. Critics hailed him a "bright new star" and he was made an honorary member of the Academy. Upon Bierstadt`s return to the United States, he painted in the White Mountains of New Hampshire, the most probable setting of this particular example. In 1859, he heard a lecture by the famous traveler and lecturer Bayard West, and this experience had a large influence on his future career. Although Albert Bierstadt was and is still known for his monumental, dramatic Western landscapes, he produced a large body of smaller, more intimate paintings of landscapes and animals, and these works, once again, command the attention of collectors. As in his other paintings, "Waterfall in Woods", combines Bierstadt`s masterful use of rich color, meticulous rendering of details and atmospheric light. His work can be found in major public and private collections throughout North America and Europe, including the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Wadsworth Atheneum, and the National Gallery of Canada.</em> </p>")

Auf den Laufoberseiten goldeingelegte, kyrillische Signatur "I. Permjak. SP. Burg." Goldgefütterte Zündlöcher. Steinschlösser mit fein geschnittenem und graviertem Blüten- und Rocaillendekor auf goldunterlegtem Grund. Goldeingelegte, kyrillische Signatur "Ivan Permiak". En suite gefertigte Hähne. Ungewöhnliches Abzugssystem mit verdeckten Klappabzügen, daneben vergoldete Auslöseknöpfe, ein Abzug leicht verbogen. Elegante, leicht verschnittene Vollschäftungen aus Nussbaumholz (ein Stück mit restauriertem Riss im Bereich der Schlossplatte) mit Hornnase. Sehr gute Qualität und Erhaltung. </p><p>Generalmajor Oskar Karlovitch Enkel tritt 1877 als Kadett dem Finnischen Korps bei, wird 1897 als Podporutschik entlassen und zum Semenovski-Leibgarde Regiment versetzt. 1903 absolviert er die Nikolaevski Generalstabs-Akademie und wird im gleichen Jahr zum Kapitän des Generalstabs ernannt. 1904 kommandiert er eine Kompanie des 105. Orenburgsky Regiments und nimmt 1904 - 1905 am Russisch-Japanischen Krieg teil. 1905 - 1907 wird er Oberadjutant des Stabs der 13. Infanteriedivision. 1908 erfolgt seine Ernennung zum Oberstleutnant und 1912 die zum Oberst. Nach seiner Dienstzeit in Italien, wo er als Militärattaché von 1914 - 1917 eingesetzt war, wurde er 1917 General-Major und kehrte nach der Revolution nach Finnland zurück. Von 1919 - 1924 war er Kommandeur des finnischen Generalstabs und Initiator sowie verantwortlicher Leiter für den Bau der Befestigungslinie an der Karelischen Landenge, diese Befestigungslinie, die er mit 137 Bunkern sichern ließ, trug anfangs seinen Namen (Enkel-Linie), wurde aber später in Mannerheim-Linie umbenannt. Hierfür erfolgt 1924 seine Ernennung zum Generalleutnant der finnischen Armee. Während der sowjetisch-finnischen Kriege im Winter 1939 - 40 und 1941 - 1944 vertritt er Finnland als Gesandter des Oberbefehlshabers Mannerheim in Paris und London. 1944 nimmt er als finnischer Vertreter am Moskauer Friedensabkommen mit der UdSSR teil. </p><p>Auszeichnungen: 1906 St. Anna-Orden 4. Both sides display a beautiful, etched dedication in Cyrillic "Oskaru Karlovitchu Enkelu" and "ot sosluzhivcev po. gl. upr. gener. shtaba" respectively, as well as an etched Russian double-headed eagle and the tsarist cipher "N II" within floral cartouches. Manufacturer`s mark on the ricasso in Cyrillic "Schaaf und Söhne St. Petersburg" along with a double-headed eagle. Gilt brass knuckle-bow hilt with floral ornaments and the cipher "N II" for Nicholas II, both sides engraved in Cyrillic "For Bravery", struck maker`s mark (Schaaf und Söhne St. Petersburg) on the quillons. The pommel bears an applied, partially enamelled miniature Order of St. Anne. The grip with another maker`s mark "Sch. S." (Schaaf and Sons) beneath the pommel cap. Fluted horn grip. Scabbard of nickel-plated steel with two movable carrying rings. Length 91 cm. Very beautiful quality and condition. </p><p>Brigadier Oskar Karlovitch Enkel entered the Finnish Corps as a cadet in 1877, in 1896 he was promoted podporutschik and assigned to the Semenovsky Life Guard Regiment. In 1903 he completed training at the Nikolaevski General Staff Academy, that same year he was appointed Captain on the General Staff. In 1904, he commanded a company of the 104th Orenburgsky Regiment and 1904-05 took part in the Russo-Japanese War. 1905 - 07 he was Chief Staff Adjutant of the 13th Infantry Division, this was followed by promotions to Lt. Colonel in 1908 and Colonel in 1912. He was promoted Brigadier in 1917 following service in Italy 1914 - 17 where he was military attaché. He returned to Finland after the Russian Revolution, and from 1919 - 24 served as Chief of the Finnish General Staff, where he was the initiator of as well as responsible leader for the construction of a defensive line across the Karelian isthmus he fortified with 137 bunkers. This line was originally named the Enkel Line after him, but was later renamed the Mannerheim Line. This achievement earned him promotion in 1924 to Major General in the Finnish Army. During the Russo-Finnish War of 1939 - 40 and the World War of 1941 - 44, he represented Finland as envoy of Supreme Commander Mannerheim in Paris and London. Diamantorden wurden von den renommiertesten Juwelieren St. Petersburgs wie Bodin, Fabergé, Hahn, Keibel oder Säfftigen gefertigt und üblicherweise nicht gepunzt, da sie direkt an den Zaren und nicht an das Ordenskapitel geliefert wurden. </p><p>Prachtstück von größter Seltenheit und hervorragender Juweliersqualität. </p><p></p><p> Order of St. Alexander Nevsky, 1st Class Breast Star with Diamonds, reign of Tsar Nicholas II (1894 - 1917). Silver and enamel, the reverse plated with red gold, the obverse set with small rose-cut diamonds in the device of the Order, in the crown and in the "SA" monogram, the larger stones replaced with imitations. Movable hinged strands, with eyelets for stitching. Red gold attachment pin with engraved numeral "37", no other marks or punches. Diameter 98 mm, weight 127 g. </p><p>The original diamonds were, as was customary, exchanged for imitation stones during the time of wear. Der Adler rs. an den Rändern goldplattiert, das Hakenkreuz unten in der Kranzschleife verstiftet. Die Nadel mit Rollenscharnier und Sicherheitsverschluss am Nadelhaken. Gewicht 45,67 g, 51 x 61 mm (Nie 7.07.04). In zeitgenössischem Etui der gleichen Bauart wie das Verleihungsetui, jedoch kleiner. Violetter Samtbezug und Samtfutter, der Deckel mit weißer Seide gefüttert und mit schwer lesbarer Herstellerbez. "DGW - Deutsche Goldschmiedekunst-Werkstätten Berlin-W.". </p><p>Provenienz: In den 1950er Jahren von der Familie Horthy an einen portugiesischen Sammler gegeben, der sie dabei unterstützt hatte, sich in Estoril niederzulassen. </p><p></p><p> Admiral Mikl¢s Horthy von Nagybánya (1868 - 1957) - a Combined Pilots and Observers Badge in Gold with Diamonds. The oak leaf and laurel wreath in gold, marked "585", the domed eagle and the swastika of platinum, adorned with more than 160 diamonds set à jour (one missing), assembled with two slit nuts on soldered threaded pins, the perimeter of the eagle reinforced on the reverse side by a gold-plated frame. The swastika pinned to the wreath binding at the bottom of the wreath. The attachment needle fitted with a roller hinge and a safety catch. Weight 45.67 g, 51 x 61 mm (Nie 7.07.04). Weltkrieges. </B></p><p><B>Admiral John McCain sr., Großvater des republikanischen Präsidentschaftskandidaten der US-Wahlen des Jahres 2008, John McCain III, einer der wichtigsten Admirale der amerikanischen Marinefliegerei im Pazifik des 2. Weltkrieges. 1906 schloss er die US Naval Academy in Annapolis als Ensign ab, diente in der Pazifikflotte und im 1. Weltkrieg auf Geleitzügen im Atlantik. 1929 absolvierte er das Naval War College, wenig später die Naval Flight Instruction School in Pensacola. Im Alter von 52 Jahren erwarb er die Naval Aviator Wings. Nach dem Überfall der Japaner auf Pearl Harbor wurde der mittlerweile zum Rear Admiral beförderte McCain Oberbefehlshaber der landgestützten Marineflugzeuge im Südpazifik. 1943 wurde er in Washington stellvertretender Chief of Naval Operations, zuständig für die Luftoperationen der US Navy. 1944 kehrte er in den Pazifik zurück und übernahm die 2nd Fast Carrier Task Force und wenig später die Task Force 38 der 3. US-Flotte mit neun Flottenträgern und acht leichten Flugzeugträgern. Aufgrund seiner erfolgreichen Taktik gelang es im Juli/August 1944 3000 am Boden abgestellte japanische Flugzeuge zu vernichten oder binnen eines Tages 49 Schiffe zu versenken. Für die Rettung der schwer angeschlagenen Kreuzer "USS Canberra" und "USS Houston" vor der Versenkung durch die Japaner im Oktober 1944 wurde ihm das Navy Cross verliehen. Am 2. September 1945 war er bei der japanischen Kapitulation an Bord der "USS Missouri" zugegen, wurde anschließend auf Heimaturlaub geschickt und verstarb am 6.
