Springfield US Model 1884 Trapdoor Rifle, c. 1889. Serial number 463714, .45-70 caliber, round barrel with 'V,' 'P' and eagle head proof marks, vernier rear sight, loading door marked 'U.S./MODEL/1884,' flat lock plate marked 'U.S./SPRINGFIELD' and with a spread wing eagle, walnut stock with 'SWP/1889' cartouche on the left side, steel rammer and sling swivels. Barrel lg. 32, overall lg 52 in. **Antique firearms are sold as collector's items only. We do not accept responsibility as to the shooting safety or reliability of any firearm.
